A woman died on Tuesday evening after a wall collapsed in a park in Ajabpur Khurd, Dehradun. According to the officials, the Nehru Colony police station received information about the incident through the control room.
The woman, who was walking in the park at the time, sustained serious injuries and was taken by police in a government vehicle to a nearby hospital, where she died during treatment. Police identified the deceased as Vijaylaxmi, 50, wife of Mahendra Singh, a resident of New Friends Colony, Ajabpur Kalan in Dehradun.
She worked as a teacher at a government primary school. Police conducted the necessary documentation and sent the body to the mortuary for further proceedings.
It is being claimed by some locals that the wall was extremely damaged and heavy rain made it worse. The officials stated that the police are investigating the case and further action will be taken accordingly.
