Youth festival to be held from November 6 to mark 25th State foundation day: Arya

A youth festival will be organised from November 6 to 8 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the State’s foundation. In preparation for this event, the Sports and Youth Welfare minister Rekha Arya held a meeting on Tuesday to review the arrangements with the officials involved.

Arya informed that the youth festival will feature competitions in folk dance, folk singing, writing and speech. For the first time, online entries will be accepted for these competitions. Cultural events are scheduled for each evening of the festival, she said.

Additionally, Arya added that this year, departmental officials have been instructed to reach out to various government and private schools to encourage maximum youth participation in the festival. She added that the meeting also addressed the Sports department’s training plan for youth preparing for Agniveer recruitment. Training is set to begin in the first week of November, with necessary arrangements made at all district headquarters. Arya said that there is considerable enthusiasm among the youth across all districts and so far, more than 600 individuals have registered online for the training.
