In latest news from Uttarakhand, Kotowali Nagar police, Haridwar seized five cartoons of illegal foreign liquor from a car near Anand Van Samadhi area and arrested a youth identified as Rakesh (26), hailing from Sonipat, Haryana, on the charge bootlegging.
Police said that the illegal liquor had been brought to Haridwar for distribution in the run-up to the upcoming urban local body polls. The accused’s car was impounded and a case was lodged against him under appropriate acts, police added.
