Youths to be imparted drone pilot training in Doon

In latest news from Dehradun, to boost application of drone technology in the agricultural sector, the 12th pass youth of Uttarakhand will be imparted training on flying drones. With this end in view, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was inked between the ICAR- Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation (IISWC) and Dronier Aviation Private Limited. Under this MoU, the 12th pass youth will be imparted remote pilot training to fly drones. The MoU was signed in the presence of the director IISWC M Madhu, the institute’s senior-most hydrologist P R Ojasvi and its principal scientist M Muruganandam. Speaking on the import of the MoU, Madhu said that this is the first PPP-oriented MoU aimed at enhancing professional competence. Ojasvi in his address said that drone remote pilot training to be given to youth has immense potential in boosting the agricultural output of the country.
