22 active dengue cases in Dehradun

The active cases of dengue in the Dehradun district have reached 22, after five new cases of dengue were reported on Friday. According to the Dehradun Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma, among these new cases, two were recorded at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, while the other three were identified at Himalayan Hospital. This brings the cumulative number of dengue cases to 484, with 232 confirmed in Dehradun and 252 in other districts and States.
The CMO further said at present, there are 22 patients receiving treatment for dengue: 11 at Himalayan Hospital, five at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, five at Graphic Era Hospital and one at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh. Health officials collected 294 dengue samples on Friday, increasing the overall number of samples tested to 26,696, he said.
Apart from this, on Friday, 11,253 household surveys were conducted to identify the presence of mosquito larvae and cover larvae in 140 homes. So far, the Health department has conducted a cumulative total of 1,791,296 household surveys, with 17,344 revealing positive findings. Additionally, on Friday, ASHA workers and volunteers inspected 60,045 containers, discovering larvae in 158 of them. To date, they have assessed a total of 1,228,3033 containers, with 22,271 testing positive for larvae.
