The School Education department will submit the seniority list of 3,300 teachers of secondary education to the Uttarakhand High Court in the next three days. In a meeting held at his residence on Friday, the Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat directed the officers of the department to present the seniority list of the teachers in the next hearing scheduled on September 23 in the HC. The minister directed the officers to set up departmental promotion committees (DPC) for promotion of teachers on the vacant posts.
He also asked the officers to seek applications under section -27 of Transfers Act of various categories of teachers within a week. Under this section transfers of teachers and employees suffering from serious diseases and the teachers whose parents and children suffering from serious diseases are transferred to their desired place. Similarly physically impaired teachers, employees, widows, widowers, divorced and spouses of armed forces and para military personnel are transferred under this rule.
In the meeting the minister also reviewed the reconstruction and repair works of the school buildings damaged in the disaster.
The meeting was attended by additional secretary Ranjana Rajguru, MM Semwal, deputy secretary AK Pandey, director SCERT Vandana Gabryal, director secondary Mukul Sati, director primary AK Naudiyal and others.
