The Bharatiya Janata Party has claimed that more than 25,000 people will attend the public meeting to be held in the presence of Union Home minister Amit Shah in Dehradun slated on November 6. BJP State president and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Bhatt said that more people will participate in the Dehradun march to counter the opposition’s chaotic politics compared to those who were present in their Delhi rally.
In a statement issued in response to media queries, he said that in order to expose the opposition’s negative politics before the public, the BJP is running the ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao’ campaign across the nation. “Rallies and public meetings are being organised at five places in the State as part of the campaign. A major rally is going to be organised at the Parade Ground in Dehradun on November 6, which will be addressed by Union Home minister Amit Shah. More than 25,000 party workers from Dehradun, Rishikesh and Haridwar district will be arriving at the venue, among others,” Bhatt said.
He stated that there is a strong public outcry against the opposition’s false and negative politics. The BJP workers are also showing unprecedented enthusiasm for the Shah’s visit. Given this, it’s clear that the number of participants in Dehradun will exceed the public support Congress and the opposition were able to garner nationwide in Delhi. “The people of India are experiencing unprecedented development under the double-engine government. They understand fully well that the opposition, increasingly frustrated and disillusioned, seeks to destroy the entire democratic process. This is why, like the rest of the nation, the patriotic people of Devbhoomi are enthusiastically participating in the marches to counter the anarchic mindset and support democracy,” the BJP State chief added.
