The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Dehradun, under the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, will organise a three-day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme on the theme ‘Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural)’ from July 21 to 23 at Children’s Park, Chakrata. This programme aims to raise public awareness about the Central government’s welfare schemes, rural development initiatives and livelihood programmes while encouraging participation in the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
During a press conference in Chakrata on Monday, the programme officer at the Central Bureau of Communication, Dehradun, Anil Dutt Sharma said that an engaging photo exhibition would provide detailed information about the ‘Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural)’ as well as various welfare schemes of the Central Government. “The exhibition will also highlight the developmental journey of Viksit Bharat, showcasing major achievements and the positive changes in the lives of citizens,” he said.
As part of the programme, special public awareness activities will be organised under the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ (Drug-Free India Campaign). “These activities will sensitise youth, students and the general public about the harmful effects of substance abuse while encouraging them to contribute to building a drug-free society,” he stated.
He further informed that various competitions will be held for students and the general public and informational stalls related to the various schemes of the Central and State governments will be set up, where experts will provide guidance and information. A free medical camp will also be organised at the venue for the public, he said.
Sharma added that the programme will also offer a glimpse into the rich cultural traditions of the Jaunsar region, with local artists presenting vibrant folk songs and dances, showcasing the area’s unique cultural heritage.
Sharma urged citizens, students and youth of the region to participate in large numbers in the programme, which will take place from July 21 to 23 daily from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Children’s Park, Chakrata.
