3 including 2 minors held 14-year-old girl’s gangrape in Doon

Police arrested one adult and detained two minors on Saturday, after a 14-year-old girl’s mother had filed a complaint at Patelnagar police station, accusing the trio of raping her. After being produced in the court, the adult was sent to police remand. The minors were sent to the juvenile home.
According to the survivor, the accused lured her into a desolate forest area on Thursday evening, gave her an intoxicant-laced drink and then sexually assaulted her. The following morning, the boys left her outside her house in an unconscious state in an e-rickshaw, as per the complaint.
The survivor’s mother stated in the complaint that her daughter had gone out to wash clothes when one of the accused called her on her mobile phone and asked her to meet near a school on Haridwar Bypass Road. When the girl arrived, two other boys were already present there, the complaint stated.
The mother said that the three males had then persuaded her daughter into going with them into the forest where they raped her. After regaining consciousness, the girl is learnt to have narrated the entire incident to her family members.
Patelnagar police station in-charge Chandrabhan Adhikari confirmed that a case has been registered under the appropriate sections of relevant acts.
