Defaulter liquor shops directed to submit pending revenue

The Pauri district magistrate has warned the operators of licensed liquor shops who have defaulted in submitting revenue from June to October 2022 to deposit the same with penalty within the stipulated time period. The authorities have warned that the license of the liquor shops may even be cancelled in case the revenue is not deposited within the time limit.
Pauri district magistrate Vijay Kumar Jogdande has issued notices to seven licensed liquor shops directing the license holders to deposit ther evenue with penalty latest by October 30. The licensed liquor shops for which the revenue has not been deposited for the months of June, July, August, September and October with the authorities include shops in Billkhet, Agrora , Lansdowne, Dadamandi, Kotdwar-II Durgapuri, Satpuli and near Kotdwar railway station.
According to the instructions of the district magistrate, if the licensees of these licensed liquor shops fail to deposit the pending revenue by October 30, then their liquor shop license will be suspended from October 31 to Novemer 2 and the shops will remain closed for the said duration. If the license holders of the said liquor shops fail to deposit the amout even by November 2, the license will be cancelled and another arrangement will be made for the shop. The remaining revenue and the loss incurred due to rearrangement will be recovered from the licensee as recovery of land- revenue against licensee by issuing recovery certificate.
