The Pauri district police cyber cell recovered Rs 43,700 and handed the amount to three victims of online frauds. According to the police, Kotdwar resident Sandeep Bisht had complained that on September 17, 2022 some unknown person had defraud him online of Rs18,020 for an online PG booking.In the second complaint, another Kotdwar resident Shubham Maindola had complained that some unknown person has duped him online of Rs 13,000 in the name of cycle booking order on November 11 last year. Yet another Kotdwar resident Rishi Rawat had complained that some unknown person had defrauded him Rs 12,700 in the name of booking a mobile phone on December 1. The cyber police team constituted on the instruction of senior superintendent of police Shweta Choubey went into action and connecting to the payment gateway managed to get Rs 18,000 to the account of Sandeep Bisht and full defrauded amount to bank accounts of Shubham Maindola and Rishi Rawat.
