53 new dengue cases reported in State on Tuesday

The Health department reported 53 new cases of dengue in the State on Tuesday. The total number of active cases of the vector-borne disease in the State is now 262. According to official data, the cumulative number of dengue cases in the State so far this season is 2,841 out of which 2,563 patients have recovered from the disease.
Out of the 53 cases reported on Tuesday, 14 were from Dehradun district, 10 from Haridwar, seven from Nainital, nine from Pauri, five each from Udham Singh Nagar and Chamoli, and three from Champawat. A total of 16 deaths of dengue patients have been reported in the State so far with 13 in Dehradun district and three in Nainital district.
When it comes to the cumulative number of dengue cases, Dehradun district has remained on top with 995 cases followed by Pauri distrit with 648 cases. Similarly, the cumulative number of dengue cases in other districts is 472 in Haridwar, 448 in Nainital, 21 in Tehri, 90 in Udham Singh Nagar, nine in Almora, 23 in Bageshwar, 62 in Chamoli, 48 in Champawat and 25 in Rudraprayag. No cases of dengue have been reported so far from Uttarkashi and Pithoragarh districts.
