In latest news from Dehradun, the proposal to provide Diwali bonus to the State government employees may be taken up for discussion and approval at the cabinet meeting slated at the Secretariat at 12 pm. Also, the State government may announce Dearness Allowance (DA) for the State government employees. The State finance ministry is learnt to have already sent such a proposal to the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for approval. Further, amendment proposals involving the State industrial policy might be taken up at the cabinet meeting. According to the State government officials who are privy to the details, a slew of proposals pertaining to other departments might be taken up too for deliberation and approval at the meeting. The officials further said that a proposal related to a housing scheme to be rolled out by the State government for the economically unprivileged women living in the mountainous areas of the State may be given the seal of approval at the cabinet meeting.
