Responding to statements made by leader of opposition in the Vidhan Sabha, Yashpal Arya, regarding disaster management, the BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that despite the difficult mountainous terrain, the government machinery is working properly. He said that the landslide in Toli village occurred past midnight, after which the rescue team reached the site and the rescue efforts were started. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is monitoring the relief efforts, seeking regular updates from the local MLA and DM. “There are two sections in the Congress claiming to be working in public interest. One is on a political tour to Kedarnath while the other section is keeping its distance from this rally and focusing on the disaster. Instead of looking for gaps, united effort is needed to provide relief to those affected by the disaster at such times,” Chauhan said.
