Heavy rain forecast yet again, this time in five districts

Heavy rain was not reported anywhere in the State despite the orange warning (Be Prepared) issued by the State meteorological centre regarding the possibility of heavy rains in Chamoli and Bageshwar districts on Tuesday. The centre has once again issued an orange warning regarding the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall/thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain likely to occur at isolated places in Bageshwar district on Wednesday.
A yellow warning (Watch) has been issued regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall/thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Nainital and Champawat districts. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain are likely to occur at isolated places in the remaining districts of the State today. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts and at many places in the remaining districts of the State.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky. Few spells of light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, of which one to two may be intense/heavy in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 31 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rain was reported in some parts of the State on Tuesday with 20 millimetres in Nainital, 17.7 millimetres in Dehradun, 14.5 millimetres in Agastyamuni and 11 millimetres in Bhimtal. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in the State were 33.1 degrees Celsius and 24.4 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 33 degrees Celsius and 25.5 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 22.4 degrees Celsius and 15.4 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 25 degrees Celsius and 18.5 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
