Thursday, 29 August 2024 | PNS | NAINITAL
In latest news from Uttarakhand, with the tourist hotspot in Nainital Tiffin Top or Dorothy’s Seat being kept out of bounds for tourists and locals following heavy rain-triggered massive landslides, the Kumaon commissioner Deepak Rawat made an on-ground inspection and pitched for a major protection work for the spot located at an altitude of 2300 ft.
He further said that the administration is seeking detailed project report (DPR) on the plan related to the rebuilding of the iconic spot. It would be made even more attractive than before, he said, adding that alongside boosting eco- tourism, electricity, drinking water and lavatory would be provided to the visitors.
