The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and the Rekhi Foundation for Happiness have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday to strengthen the IIT Roorkee wellness center activities through the establishment of a dedicated ‘Centre for the Science of Happiness at IIT Roorkee. Hailing the collaboration, the director of IIT Roorkee Kamal Kishore Pant said that this strategic initiative aimed to promote research, education and the practice of happiness and well-being benefiting students, staff, and the wider community. Speaking on the occasion, the founder of Rekhi Foundation for Happiness Satinder Singh Rekhi emphasised the transformative potential of the Centre.
The MoU was signed by Rekhi, representing the Rekhi Foundation, and the dean, Sponsored Research & Industrial Consultancy, IIT Roorkee Akshay Dvivedi.
