The workers of Uttarakhand Congress burned the effigies of the State government in all district headquarters on Monday to register their protest on the UKSSSC paper leak case.
In Dehradun, the Congress party workers assembled at the Rajiv Bhawan and walked to nearby Astley Hall led by Pradesh Congress Committee vice president Suryakant Dhasmana and Mahanagar president Jaswinder Singh Gogi to burn the effigy of the government.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhasmana said that all the claims of conducting fair and transparent recruitment examinations of the Dhami government have proven to be hollow. He said that the statement of the UKSSSC chairman Ganesh Martolia that though three pages of the question paper came out of the centre but it cannot be described as a paper leak shows the hollowness of the government and the system of recruitment.
He said that unemployment is at its peak in Uttarakhand and the copying mafia under the protection of BJP is engaged in paper leaks. Dhasmana said that when Hakam Singh was arrested a day before the examination it was apprehended that the examination of UKSSSC had leaked and this apprehension proved correct on Sunday.
He said that the Congress party is very serious on the issue and warned that it will start a state-wide agitation against the government for failing to protect the interests of the youngsters.
The Mahanagar Congress president Gogi said that the paper leak has broken the morale of the unemployed. He said that the youth of the State is agitated and this anger could have serious consequences. Gogi said that the Congress party is standing with the unemployed on this sensitive issue.
