PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun

The students and unemployed members of Uttarakhand Berozgar Sangh (UBS) organised a protest in Dehradun on Monday against the alleged paper leak of the recruitment examination conducted by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC).

Defying the prohibitory orders of the administration, many youngsters and activists assembled at the Parade Ground under the banner of the UBS to express their protest against the alleged paper leak of the graduate-level examination of UKSSSC held on Sunday.

The youngsters then tried to march towards the State secretariat but they were prevented by a heavy deployment of the police after which the workers staged a protest. The patron of the UBS and the president of the Uttarakhand Swabhiman Morcha, Bobby Panwar said that the government should order a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe in the paper leak case. He said that the youngsters are ready for a long fight on this important issue associated with their future.

The president of the UBS, Ram Kandwal said that the sanctity of the examination has become violated and instead of ignoring the reality the government should take concrete action.

Social activist and convener of the Bhoo Kanoon Sangharsh Samiti, Mohit Dimri said that the UKSSSC paper leak on Sunday has shattered the state government’s claims of having a fair and transparent system of recruitment.  He claimed that politicians and officers are involved in the paper leak cases in Uttarakhand. Dimri said that a CBI investigation in the case should be ordered and all those involved in the case should be exposed.
