Under the aegis of the Directorate of Soldier Welfare and Rehabilitation, the Shaheed Samman Yatra 2.0 was launched from the Collectorate premises here on Tuesday. The sub-divisional magistrate Mukta Mishra flagged off the Yatra in the presence of 20 NCC cadets and veterans. As part of this Yatra, soil will be collected from the homes of the district’s martyrs.
In her address, Mishra said, “The sacrifice of our martyrs can never be forgotten. This soil is not just soil, but a symbol of valour and patriotism. The administration is fully committed to the welfare of the families of the martyrs.”
