PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun

In a decision aimed at bringing transparency in the system of the State Government Health Scheme (Golden card), the State Health Authority (SHA) has mandated that the beneficiaries should fill a feedback form upon discharge from the hospital. The details of the total expense incurred will be compulsorily mentioned in the feedback form.

The chairperson of SHA Arvind Singh Hyanki said that at present the feedback form filled by the patients discharged from the hospitals under the Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya schemes. In this form all the information about the treatment is provided in the feedback form which the hospitals concerned need to submit along with the bills.

Hyanki said that it has come to his notice that many beneficiaries of the golden card scheme were unaware of the treatment received and the total expenditure incurred. He said that in view of it the SHA has made feedback form mandatory for the golden card beneficiaries as well. The hospitals will mention the duration of hospitalisation, treatment given, investigations done and the medicines given along with the total expenditure in this form. He said that no payment to the hospitals will be given in absence of this feedback form.

The State government employees, pensioners and their dependents are covered under the SGHS. There are 5.16 lakh SGHS (golden card) holders in the State. Under the scheme cashless treatment is provided in the hospitals empaneled under the SHA.
