The Fisheries Society of the College of Fisheries, GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT) held the Fisheries Night – Anahita 2026 on the weekend.
Addressing the gathering, the university vice chancellor SK Kashyap appreciated the efforts and achievements of the College of Fisheries and remarked that the college has brought laurels and recognition to the university through its consistent performances and activities. He also guided the students towards discipline, dedication and excellence in their academic and professional lives.
Registrar Deepa Vinay said that although the college has comparatively fewer students and faculty members, the talent, enthusiasm and capabilities showcased by its students are remarkable and stand out among all the colleges of the university.
Various dances and cultural performances were staged by the students on the occasion. Dean of student welfare, VC Chyani and director of communication, JP Jaiswal were also among those present at the event.
