Glowing tributes were paid to former minister and former leader of opposition Indira Hridayesh on her fifth death anniversary on Saturday. Representatives from various political parties, social organizations and prominent citizens of the region paid their tributes to Hridayesh. Her son and Haldwani MLA Sumit Hridayesh expressed gratitude to all the visitors. He said that the late Indira Hridayesh was not only his mother but also his political mentor.
Sumit Hridayesh said that her mother dedicated her entire life to the development of the State and especially Haldwani. Her work remains alive in the hearts of people and will continue to inspire generations to come.
