Dehradun district has recorded 21 dengue cases till June 18 this year, with no fatalities reported so far.
Additional Chief Medical Officer and District Surveillance Officer Dr Avinash Khanna said that 12 of the cases are from Dehradun district, while nine patients belong to other districts and States.
Of the total cases, 16 patients have recovered and five remain active patients are undergoing treatment at different hospitals.
Khanna said dengue cases are usually reported from July onwards, but the emergence of cases in June this year is a matter of concern. He said the Health department has intensified surveillance and preventive measures to check the spread of the disease.
