Under Operation Prahaar-the Haridwar police’s special campaign against crime and anti-social elements-Kankhal police have arrested another member of the notorious Pilla Gang, involved in the firing incident on Kanwads in the Gurukul Kangri area which occurred on June 1.
Police recovered the country-made pistol used in the firing from the arrested gang member identified as Satyam Jath.
A case has been registered against him under appropriate sections of the relevant law, police said, adding that the number of the arrested accused in the incident rose to seven.
