Popular YouTuber and bike rider Ashu died in a road accident in the Sahaspur area of Dehradun on Friday. A resident of Roorkee, Ashu, known for his bike riding videos, reportedly had around nine lakh followers on social media.
It is learnt that the accident occurred in the Sahaspur police station area when Ashu was returning from Dehradun after purchasing a new bike worth around Rs 18 lakh.
The Sahaspur police reached the spot upon receiving information about the accident. Police took the body into custody and started the required legal proceedings. The exact cause of the accident is not yet clear, said Sahaspur police, adding that they are investigating the matter.
Ashu used to regularly share his bike riding videos on social media that endeared him to a large number of youngsters. He is reported to have purchased another superbike worth around Rs 22 lakh just a few days before the accident.
