Dehradun police have registered a case under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986 against three theft and robbery accused at Cantt police station. Defending the action, police said that the action was taken to stop their criminal activities and maintain law and order.

The accused have been identified as Saindhi Sahni, Sanjay Sahni and Lakshman Sahni. As per the police record, Saindhi is the gang leader, while the other two are members.

Police further said that the three accused worked together as an organised gang, committing theft and robbery. Police also claimed that the locals were too scared of this gang to report the crimes.
