UJVNL earns record profit of Rs 704 Cr in 2025-26

 The UJVN Limited collected a revenue of Rs 1,834.27 crore and earned a profit of Rs 704.84 crore during the financial year 2025-26. It is the highest revenue collection and profit earned by the corporation in a FY since its inception. This information was provided by the Managing director (MD) of UJVN limited Ajay Kumar Singh in the 135th meeting of the Board of Directors of the corporation held at the State secretariat on Thursday. The meeting was chaired by chief secretary Anand Bardhan. 

Singh further informed that the installed capacity of the corporation has increased by 11 MW during the financial year, with which the total installed power generation capacity of UJVN Limited has increased to 1,485.46 MW. 

Giving information on power generation, the MD said that in the financial year 2025-26, a total of 5,238.73 million units of electricity were produced by the Corporation’s various hydroelectric projects. The increased production capacity, improved power generation, and strong financial performance reflect the Corporation’s efficiency and strong work culture. 

He stated that the corporation’s primary focus going forward will be on increasing power generation, better utilization of available capacity, improving operational efficiency, cost control, revenue growth and timely implementation of new and ongoing projects. Principal secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram, finance secretary Dilip Jawalkar, independent directors Indu Kumar Pandey, BP Pandey and Parag Gupta and other officers of the corporation attended the meeting.
