Anganwadi & ASHA workers to be felicitated under Aangan Ka Milan programme: Arya

Anganwadi and Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers who have done commendable work will be felicitated and beneficiaries will be given benefits of various welfare schemes under the “Aangan Ka Milan” programme. Cabinet minister and district in-charge Rekha Arya gave this information while reviewing the preparations for the campaign in Pithoragarh on Friday.
Arya chaired a meeting with departmental officials to review the preparations for the “Aangan Ka Milan” programme, which is going to start from September 25. In the meeting, a detailed outline of the programme was presented by the officials concerned.
Arya directed the officials that since the campaign will run from September 25 to October 7, keeping its seriousness in mind, it should be publicised on a large scale.
She further said that under this programme, Anganwadi workers, helpers and ASHA workers who have worked at their respective centres will be honoured.
In addition, beneficiaries will be extended benefits under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Mukhyamantri Poshan Abhiyan, Nanda Gaura Yojana, Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana, Mahalakshmi Kit distribution and other schemes. They will also be informed about all the beneficial schemes, she said.
“Camps of various departments will also be organised during this period and necessary directions have been given to the officials concerned for their effective implementation,” Arya said.
Arya also directed that photo and videography of all programmes must be done. Competitions will also be organised at every Anganwadi centre. She added that the programme will be organised at all Anganwadi centres in Pithoragarh district and officials should ensure that no centre remains untouched.
