Uttarakhand has improved its national ranking in the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS), moving from the 13th to ninth position, while the State has secured third position in the ICJS 2.0 dashboard. The progress was reviewed at a meeting of the State-level apex committee on CCTNS-ICJS 2.0 chaired by the chief secretary Anand Bardhan. He said that Uttarakhand secured ninth position in the CCTNS progress dashboard as of July 2026, improving by four places from the previous review. The State is ranked third nationally on the ICJS 2.0 dashboard.
Uttarakhand has also improved its ranking on the National Crime and Criminal Law Intelligence (NCLI) dashboard, moving from 24th to 18th position as of September 17. Under ICJS 2.0, digital applications including e-Sakshya, Nyayashruti, e-Summon, e-Sign and MedLEAPR are being implemented to improve coordination among the police, prosecution, prisons and judiciary. Bardhan directed officials to improve performance parameters and make operational processes more effective within the next two months. He also directed the ITDA to develop a separate data recovery system for CCTNS to ensure data security and continuity of critical services.
He directed the Home department and ITDA to ensure that complete details, including names, addresses, mobile numbers and email IDs, are recorded while filing FIRs. This would help in the timely delivery of e-summons and other legal communications. Officials in the meeting also discussed hardware procurement, budget requirements and the selection of a new system integrator for CCTNS 2.0. The Home secretary Shailesh Bagauli, additional director general of police AP Anshuman and other officials were present.
