Lekhak Gaon will host its third international festival from October 25 to 29. Informing the media about this, Lekhak Gaon director Vidushi Nishank said that participants from across the nation and from various other countries will be deliberating on a wide range of issues during the five-day event.
Addressing the media here on Friday, she said that the aim of the Lekhak Gaon initiative and its annual festival is to encourage debate on literature, art, tradition, innovation, youths and other aspects which may take India towards becoming a global leader. “We will have discussions and creative interactions on various aspects involving people across age groups and nationalities. There will also be special cultural evenings to boost the folk culture of Uttarakhand. Central ministers, the governor and chief minister along with cabinet ministers will be attending the event,” she said.
Nishank said that the aim of Lekhak Gaon is to encourage creativity and boost education across the State in a way that enables youngsters to do their bit in their villages instead of having to migrate or travel to cities or out of the State.
