Covid-19 tally scales to 34407 in U’khand
1391 fresh cases, nine deaths and 1008 recoveries reported on Tuesday
The number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand mounted 34407 on Tuesday with the state health department reporting 1391 fresh cases of the disease. With the death of nine patients, the death toll increased to 438 in the state. The number of recovered patients remained above one thousand for the third consecutive day on Tuesday. On the day the authorities discharged 1008 patients from different hospitals of the state after their recovery. A total of 23085 patients have so far overcome the disease and the percentage recovery in the state is now at 67.09 percent. Out of the total samples tested 6.63 percent have tested positive. A total of 12611 samples are remaining untested in different laboratories of the state.
Four patients of Covid-19 were reported dead at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on Tuesday. Similarly three patients succumbed to the disease at the Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital on the day. Two patients expired at Sushila Tiwari government hospital, Haldwani.
The provisional state capital continues to face the wrath of the disease with authorities reporting 421 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday. In Udham Singh Nagar 318 patients were reported while 226 in Nainital, 219 in Haridwar and 51 patients were reported in Uttarkashi district on Tuesday. In Pauri 38 patients were reported while 31 in Tehri, 30 in Pithoragarh, 27 in Rudraprayag, 23 in Champawat and seven patients were reported in Chamoli district on Tuesday. Incidentally no case of the disease was reported from Almora and Bageshwar districts.
Out of 1008 patients recovered on Tuesday, 228 are from Udham Singh Nagar, 223 from Dehradun, 110 from Nainital, 87 from Haridwar, 71 from Uttarkashi and 64 from Rudraprayag. Similarly 47 patients were cured in Almora, 45 in Champawat, 39 each in Tehri and Champawat, 25 in Bageshwar, 19 in Pauri and 11 in Chamoli were discharged on Tuesday.
Uttarakhand now has 10739 active patients of the disease with Dehradun maintaining its top position in the table. Here 3477 active patients of the disease are there. Dehradun is followed by Haridwar with 2280 active patients while Udham Singh Nagar is at third position with 1270 active patients. Nainital has 1264, Pauri 540, Tehri 435, Uttarkashi 311, Champawat 270 and Pithoragarh 247 active patients of the disease. Rudraprayag has 227 active cases, Chamoli 168, Almora 116 and Bageshwar 134 active patients of the disease.
