Covid-19 death toll mounts to 1384 in U’khand
Nine deaths, 620 new cases of disease reported on Thursday
The death toll from the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Uttarakhand mounted to 1384 in Uttarakhand on Thursday with the state health department registering the death of nine patients. The department also reported 620 fresh cases of the disease on the day which increased the tally of the disease to 84689. The authorities discharged 676 patients from different hospitals on Thursday after their recovery. A total 76223 patients have recovered from the disease so far and the recovery percentage now stands at 90.00.
Three patients of Covid-19 were reported dead in Sushila Tiwari government hospital, Haldwani on Thursday. A similar number of patients were reported dead at Himalayan hospital Dehradun. One patient each of the disease expired at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, Velmed hospital Dehradun and Prayas hospital Udham Singh Nagar.
Out of 676 patients discharged on the day 251 belonged to Dehradun. The authorities reported 194 patients of the disease from Dehradun, 127 from Nainital, 48 from Almora, 40 from Udham Singh Nagar, 39 from Uttarkashi, 36 from Haridwar, 34 from Chamoli, 28 from Tehri, 22 from Bageshwar, 20 from Pithoragarh, 18 from Rudraprayag and 14 from Champawat on Thursday. Uttarakhand now has 6062 active cases of the disease. Dehradun is at continuing to remain at top of the table of active cases with 1711 cases while with 1016 active cases Nainital is at second spot. Haridwar is at third spot with 483 active cases. Pithoragarh has 404, Pauri 376, Almora 358, Chamoli 326, Tehri 310, Udham Singh Nagar 280, Uttarkashi 297, Bageshwar 191 and Rudraprayag 158 active cases of the disease. With 152 active cases of Covid-19, Champawat is now at the bottom of the table of active cases of Covid-19.
