Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced an accident insurance cover of Rs two lakh each annually for all Anganwadi workers of the state. He also announced that the government will fill 25 per cent posts of Anganwadi workers with those Anganwadi helpers who have worked for at least 10 years and possess required academic qualifications.
He also said that the monthly allowance of the workers will now be transferred digitally. Dhami made these announcements as the chief guest in an event in Bannu School organised by the department of Women Empowerment and Child Development (WECD) to celebrate the achievements of the department in the past five years. Thousands of Anganwadi workers also arrived from various districts in the event.
