The Uttarakhand Congress released a white paper on the unemployment, price rise and women empowerment at its state headquarters here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion the national spokesperson of Congress party Ragini Nayak said that the double engine government has given a dose of double unemployment in Uttarakhand. She said that in the year 2020-21 the budget of MGNREGA was Rs 299 crore which was reduced to Rs 200 crore in the year 2021-22. She said that now the Union government has made a major cut in the budget of the MNREGA which will further reduce the allocation under the scheme for Uttarakhand. It will further increase the rural unemployment in Uttarakhand. National spokesman Gaurav Vallabh said that only five days are left for the election campaign but the BJP has not released its manifesto yet.
The Congress leaders said that the BJP government has failed to fulfil even a single promise it made in its election manifesto of 2017 due to which it is dithering on releasing its manifesto.
The media in-charge of Uttarakhand Congress Rajeev Mehrishi and general secretary organisation Mathura Dutt Joshi were also present on the occasion.
