The State Health department reported 32 new cases of the Covid-19 from different parts of the state on Monday. Death of no patient was reported in the state on the day. The authorities also declared 71 patients cured from the disease on the day. The department has so far detected 93,774 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 89,896 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 278 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.86 per cent on Monday. The positivity rate of the disease was at 2.51 per cent on the day.
The health department reported 17 new patients each from Dehradun, four each from Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar, three each from Haridwar and Chamoli and one from Uttarkashi on Monday. No new cases were reported from Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Tehri districts on the day.
The number of active patients of Covid-19 was at 272 on Monday. Dehradun with 164 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 34 and Nainital 27 active cases of the disease. Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh districts have no active cases of the disease . In the ongoing vaccination drive 8860 people were vaccinated in 874 sessions in the state held on Monday.
