Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat inaugurated the Drug Resistant Tuberculosis (DRTB) centre at Shri Mahant Indiresh hospital. Rawat said that the Central government has set the target to get rid of tuberculosis completely by 2025. In this mission, Uttarakhand government is also doing its bit and the DRTB centre will play an important role in these efforts.
He said that the private institutes are playing key roles in the healthcare services of Uttarakhand along with the State government. He appreciated Shri Mahant Indiresh hospital stating that health services rendered by the hospital are playing a significant role in the healthcare of the State.
SGRR Institute of Medical and Health Science principal Dr Yashbir Dewan said that it’s the dream of Mahant Devendra Das to ensure that quality healthcare services reach even the far flung villages of Uttarakhand. The hospital is working on a mission mode to achieve this, he said.
