182 new Covid cases, one death reported on Monday

The state health department reported 182 cases of Covid-19 from different parts of Uttarakhand on Monday. Death of one patient was reported from the disease at Mahant Indiresh hospital, Dehradun on the day. The authorities also declared 175 patients cured from the disease on the day. The department has so far detected 96,132 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 91,288 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 94.96 per cent while the positivity rate continued to be high at 14.38 per cent on Monday. A total of 287 patients have lost their lives to the disease this year in the state.
The health department reported 86 new patients from Dehradun, 51 from Nainital, 10 from Haridwar, four each from Pauri and Udam Singh Nagar, eight each from Almora and Udham Singh Nagar, seven each from Haridwar and Tehri, four from Pithoragarh, two from Bageshwar and one each from Pauri and Uttarkashi on Monday. No new cases were reported from Chamoli, and Rudraprayag districts on the day.
The number of active patients of Covid-19 was at 1143 on Monday. Dehradun with 709 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Nainital has 228 and Haridwar 47 active cases of the disease. In the ongoing vaccination drive 31,709 people were vaccinated in 952 sessions in the state held on Monday.
