Air service to Gauchar & Chinyalisaur towns to start soon

CM meets Union Civil Aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in New Delhi
The air service to Gauchar in Chamoli district and Chinyalisaur in Uttarkashi district would soon start. This assurance was given by the Union Civil Aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia to the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami when the latter met him in New Delhi on Sunday. In the meeting the two discussed ways of strengthening the air network in Uttarakhand.
On the request of the CM, the Union minister assured that the air services to the mountain towns of Gauchar and Chinyalisaur would start. He said after the survey the tender for air service to these towns would be given under the UDAN scheme. Scindia also informed that the airline concerned has been directed to start fixed wing aircraft services from the Pithoragarh airstrip.
Dhami expressed gratitude for the cooperation provided by the Union government to the State in strengthening the air connectivity. He also requested that the Pawan Hans service from Pithoragarh should start without hindrance. He said that the Airports Authority of India has to submit its report on developing the Pantnagar airport into an international airport in December. He also requested that the proposed feasibility survey for expansion and upgradation of Dehradun airport as per international standards should be expedited. On his part Scindia assured the CM that all the proposals regarding air connectivity in Uttarakhand would be implemented soon.
