Brave of U’khand martyred in Manipur

In latest news from Uttarakhand, another brave-heart of the State embraced martyrdom in strife-torn Manipur as he fell to the militants’ bullets. The deceased wasGunanand Chaubey, a warrant officer of 22 Battalion Assam Rifles hailing from Lohaghat block of Champayat district of Uttarakhand. His family is presently living in Delhi. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and one son. It is not known yet when his cremation will be conducted.
Assam Rifles sources said that his mortal remains are now being kept in its camp and these would be taken to his ancestral village with full honours for the conduct of his last rites.
