The Kailash Omega Cancer Center organised Jeevitha – Cancer Survivors Day in Dehradun to honour and celebrate the courage and resilience of cancer survivors.
More than 100 patients and their families from different regions attended the event, sharing their inspiring journeys and spirit in fighting cancer with hope and determination. The programme was directed by Dr Vimal Pandita, medical oncologist at the Kailash Omega Cancer Center.
Group COO Mahender Pala and Kailash Hospital medical superintendent Dr Atish Sinha were the chief guest and guest of honour respectively at the event. They appreciated the survivors and their families for their strength, courage and positivity.
The event featured Yoga sessions, motivational talks, interactive clinician–patient discussions, and inspiring survivor segments that highlighted stories of hope, endurance and successful recovery.
Noted consultants Dr Akash Narain Gaind (surgical oncologist), Dr Saurabh Bansal (radiation oncologist), Dr Shashwat Tiwari (surgical oncologist) and Dr Pulkit Mittal (nuclear medicine consultant) interacted with their patients and families.
As part of the celebration, para-medical staff members were also felicitated by the dignitaries and patients for their dedicated service, compassion, and continuous contribution toward patient care and treatment excellence.
