On the occasion of Mahashivratri, the Dehradun senior superintendent of police Pramendra Dobal visited Tapkeshwar Mahadev to review the security arrangements on Sunday. After this he also carried out a ground-level inspection in the city in view of the frequent protests and rallies being held in the district.
During the visit, the SSP also offered prayers at the temple and interacted with the temple committee members. As a large number of devotees visit this temple on such special occasions, Dobal inspected the arrangements on the spot and spoke to the officers deployed there while directing them to perform their duties with full alertness and responsibility.
On the same day, the SSP also carried out a ground-level inspection in various parts of the city in view of the frequent protests and rallies being held in the district. He inspected the routes and areas that are usually affected during such events. He took information from officers about barricading and other security arrangements made during protests and rallies. Later, he held a meeting with officials and reviewed the security plans. He instructed officers to ensure proper security during demonstrations while also making sure that the general public and school children do not face inconvenience. He also directed that if any road needs to be closed due to a protest or rally, the information should be shared with the public in advance.
