Centre approves incentive of Rs 350 Cr to Uttarakhand under SASCI

The Union government has approved an incentive of Rs 350 crore to Uttarakhand for better financial management under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme. Expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the approval of the Union government is the result of better financial management, transparency and fiscal discipline of the State government. He said that Uttarakhand has achieved significant progress in its efforts to increase tax collection, expenditure control, budgetary management and strengthening the digital payment system.
Dhami said that the State has already received incentives from the Union government for its transparent policies in the mining sector, implementing e- tendering and online monitoring systems and reforms in the department of Transportation. The CM said that these achievements show that Uttarakhand has made a strong identity for itself at the national level by adopting the reforms based model of administration.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is setting up new standards of good governance, transparency and development. Dhami said that these incentives given by the Union government are a source of inspiration to the State and will provide an impetus to the development projects.
