Centre approves new KV at Madan Negi in Tehri

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has approved the proposal to establish a Kendriya Vidyalaya at Madan Negi in Tehri district. This school will start functioning from the academic session 2026-27.
In the initial phase,classes I to V will function in the new KV and one section in each class will open. Later the school will be expanded as per the requirements. The admission process in the new school will start within the next 30 days. Pertinently, the KV is being established at Madan Negi town as part of the decision of the union government to open 85 new schools in different parts of the country.
Expressing happiness at the decision, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the opening of the new KV will help in providing quality education to the children of Madan Negi and nearby areas. The new school will also strengthen the educational structure in the State. The CM said that the State government is working in tandem with the Union government to bring youngsters forward in the field of education.
