PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun
The vice president of Uttarakhand Congress Suryakant Dhasmana has said that the State government has not paid the pending dues of the private hospitals due to which these hospitals are showing reluctance to treat patients under the Ayushman, Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana and State Government Health Scheme (SGHS). He averred that the crores of rupees are yet to be reimbursed to the private hospitals including the Himalayan Hospital, Jolly Grant, Mahant Indiresh Hospital and Graphic Era Hospital, Selaqui, due to which the patients covered under the Ayushman scheme and SGHS are facing problems.
He claimed that the government owes more than Rs 100 crore to only Mahant Indiresh Hospital. Under the Ayushman scheme, the Central government has not paid a sum of Rs 44 crore to the Mahant Indiresh Hospital. Dhasmana said that the Ayushman scheme is one of the most prevalent and hyped schemes started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said that a large number of patients from different parts of the State are referred to Mahant Indiresh, Himalayan Hospital and Graphic Era Hospital from the district hospitals, community health centres and primary health centres.
Dhasmana said that the State government should have taken the health services on priority but it is paying no heed to it and the attitude towards the Ayushman and SGHS are examples of the government’s apathetic attitude. The Congress leader said that he is collecting details of the pending payments of all the hospitals after which he will meet chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and demand immediate payment of the pending bills of these hospitals so that the people don’t face any inconveniences in treatment.
