Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami listened to the issues of people from various parts of the State at the CM residence here on Sunday. A number of people raised issues related to roads, drinking water, electricity supply, health, education, land related issues and other public interest subjects during the public hearing.
Dhami directed officials of the CM office and departments concerned to take action on priority basis on the complaints and demands received while ensuring regular monitoring of each case. Any type of negligence will not be tolerated in the redressal of public grievances. The CM also directed officials of his office to immediately forward the complaints received to the departments concerned for necessary action to ensure timely redressal, adding that the complainant should also be informed about the action taken.
Dhami said that ensuring the swift and effective redressal of every person’s grievance is a priority for the government. Programmes like public hearings are an effective medium to establish communication between the administration and the public. Such interactions also enable the government to receive information about the problems being faced at the ground level and take effective decisions for resolving the same. He said that the government is working with a resolve to ensure public welfare, good governance and integrated development. Ensuring that the benefit of development schemes reaches the distant and border areas also is among the top priorities of the State government, he said.
