While addressing the Republic Day commemorative programme at Patanjali Wellness, Phase 2, Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev stressed on all in India taking five vows: indigenous education, indigenous medicine, indigenous economy, Sanatan way of life and a self-reliant, developed India. He said that somewhere there is tariff terrorism, somewhere there is madness for power, somewhere madness for wealth and somewhere religious madness. “America threatened Canada with 100 per cent tariff, sometimes 25-50 per cent on India, sometimes 500 per cent on some other countries. This means that the world is going through a very dangerous phase. In such a situation, if we have to make one India, a great India and a healthy, prosperous and organised India. And to translate this into reality, we need to take the five vows,” he said.

Exhorting the students and others to serve the nation with all they have, he said that they must move forward with commitment to help India emerge as the world’s biggest economic power, biggest military power, biggest political, social and spiritual power so that the whole world could take inspiration from India.

He also urged the people to take up Swadeshi, boycott Macaulay-envisaged education and shun multinational companies. “We must prioritise India’s unity, integrity, and sovereignty and strengthen the Indian rupee against the dollar. If we do not make our country powerful America, China and even our friendly country, Russia, will turn their backs on us,” he asserted.

While warning against the anti-India forces trying all means to weaken India from within and without, he said that the people must rise over the case schism and stand united like a rock.

While addressing the gathering, Acharya Balkrishna, said that living for small objectives is not the goal of human life.  “To achieve big, we must tread the path of sacrifice shown by the martyrs and resolve to bring a new dawn to the country. Our supreme mission should be to present our country to the world as the true leader,” he said.
