Foreign national arrested from Delhi for supplying cocaine

Dehradun police arrested an African national identified as John alias Joseph alias Moris, a suspected cocaine supplier based in Delhi who was allegedly involved in supplying drugs to parties and college students in Dehradun and nearby areas. On Thursday, superintendent of police (City) Pramod Kumar said that the accused had supplied cocaine to Javed Alam in Delhi. He was arrested on Wednesday following the arrest of Javed Alam. Police also arrested two alleged members of the Cobra gang, who are Sudanese nationals, from Dehradun.
The case came to light after Rajpur police arrested Alam, a resident of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, with 11.77 grammes of cocaine during a checking operation near Johri Road on June 3. Kumar said that based on the information, a police team conducted a raid in Malviya Nagar, Delhi and arrested John. The accused is originally from the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) in Africa and had been living in Delhi for the last two years.
During interrogation, the accused admitted that he supplied cocaine through a network of peddlers to different parts of the country. He allegedly targeted young people, especially students and people attending large parties. Police also found that his passport and visa had expired in December 2025 and that he was staying in Delhi illegally.
