Discussion on Budget 2026-27 commences in house

The discussion on the Budget 2026-27 commenced in the Vidhan Sabha on Thursday. Initiating the debate the leader of opposition Yashpal Arya said that there is nothing new in the budget document presented by the chief minister in the house on March 9.
Terming the budget as directionless, Arya said that it is far away from the ground reality. He said that the farmers, businessmen, youth and poor have got only disappointment in the budget. Arya said that due to financial mismanagement, the burden of the debt is increasing on the State. Arya said that the debt burden on the State has increased.
The BJP MLA from Dharampur Vinod Chamoli praised the budget and said it has a road map for the development of the State. He said that the government is working to create new employment opportunities and prevent migration from the mountainous areas. The members from both Congress and BJP participated in the discussion on the budget.
