With relief operation now continuing in full swing for the flash flood affected people of Harsil-Dharali region, the Uttarkashi district magistrate, Prashant Arya conducted an on-ground review on Monday. He directed the officials immediately shift people living on the calamity-prone areas on the river banks to safer places and provide food, fuel and other essential items to the flood-affected people. He further said that he had been monitoring things round the clock.
“It must be ensured that the provisions, gas cylinders blankets and others being brought here through the chopper service reach all the affected people,” the DM said.
